I prefer SD widescreen. It takes less time to render (actually a lot less!) and unless you are making a blu-ray I don't see the difference. So, when a client wants HD we charge more.

I shooting HD, delivering HD on the web and SD on DVD. Once the powers that be saw the video out of the Z7, they were sold. At home I use an HV30 and love it.
