Permalink Reply by Shane Killian on March 14, 2009 at 6:19am You don't have a raid system? (one that mirror images the other). If not, first I want to warn everyone in this business, GET A RAID! That way when one goes bad the other back up one still has everything. I learned the hard way!
Western Digital should be able to recover that for you. I know Seagate does.
If you use someone else other than Western Digital it will void your warranty.
OK, the problem you have is your time restraints right now. My suggestion is to go to youtube.com and in the search put in "data recovery western digital" and it will explain how to do it. Warning: do not attempt to fix it without wearing gloves! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ul97jWv2PKY
Hope this helps (also this site may be of help: http://www.essdatarecovery.com/westerndigital.asp )
