Hello,

How do I "capture" what is happening "live" on my computer screen? You know, like how you see in tutorial videos like this one by www.davemadethat.com :

Magix Video Pro X and Movie Edit Pro 15 have a built in screen capture right in the editor, or you can use Camstudio. Get a free version of camstudio here.
I'll add to what Jay said, and say make sure you get the camstudio lossless codec. This project on sourceforge was dormant for a while, but someone has started dveloping it (it is the basis for Camtasia) but there are some issues with the audio. something with certain codecs being left out. I have the older version if you run into issues that way let me know and I can send you the older version.
I'm using ishowu it's $20ish to download, works pretty well also.
Thanks Jay, Bill and Dreams Creation! I'm going to try Camstudio for starters and see how it goes.
you could also download the free Windows Media Encoder 9 it has a screen capture utility on it :)
