That's fantastic!!! I saw this type system demo'd back when they still had the DV Expo in NYC, but the price was otherwordly, your price is very good. I do some chromakey for my private projects, only issue I have with this system, and it's just the way things are, it doesn't work well with a thru the glass teleprompter. (the stuff I do is news anchor type). But with this price I may have to re-think my prompter technique...;-)

Thanks for the happy thoughts! Yeah, as my need for a teleprompter nears (last night's shoot could have used one), I might have to explore making one with a hole in the middle and text that wraps around the hole :) ? We were shooting a full-body interview with the LED rig and, thankfully, the host was spectacular at remembering script, but it just makes it nice to have that immediate visual reference, especially for those that don't have that inate gift.

I have to think, though, that there's a way to merge the two with a little creativity?

I'm so used to thru the glass prompting, been doing it since the 80's. I haven't yet tried putting the camera just above or just below the prompter screen. I think if you have enough distance between the talent and the camera it might not look too bad, but if you get close the angle of the eyes will look more severe. At my day job I use a collapsible green screen and thru the lens prompter, but at home I would have to build a periscope type reflector (or spend $$) for thru the lens. I may have to try not using a reflected script and just use the laptop prompter as is.

If you want to use the light ring and thru the lens, you might be able to use plexi for the reflector and cut a hole, but it depends upon how the LED would affect reading, and how quickly the light disperses from the ring. you wouldn't want to block any of it from getting to the backdrop.

What I've found is, if it's below or to the sides of the lens, it looks like you're reading, but if it's above the lens, it looks more like you're looking at the camera. Not sure why, but it works.

probably the eyelids, when looking down your eyes close a bit, when looking up they are wide open. I have to do some tests when I get time.
