One of the greatest Fishing Documentaries that may never be? SOS SOS SOS!

Hello everyone
My name is Rich i am uneducated (Formal) in any communications (camera, editing,etc.). I am totally self taught, never had mentors, teachers or friends that are involved in film production. I did it all myself! well i am 4 years into my documentary on Tarpon fishing and i have what seems to be one of the greatest documentaries to come out of Florida. Only problem is i have no funds, i worked as a cook , bartender, bellman and disaster relief just to support my film costs so far. Now i am swamped with many things to learn and accomplish, i am confident i can do it, its just that i cannot do it with a full time job as a bellman or cook. I am coming around the home stretch and need some capital to push on through!!! Where can i find capital???????? If you would like to see some of my work, even my trailer for my documentary (The Silver Lining) go to my website www.Richdayproductions.net

Any help will be appreciated

of course your capital will come from your sponsors.

right???

WOW I am self taught and self funded its been a long journey to build my confidence up. I am trying to pick up funding through anyone . I am working on film fests and trying kickstarter.

skip all that stuff. Call potential sponsors and get the thing going.
Your rite, I called every conservation organization in florida , the governors office, fishing magazines and they all told me that the economy was bad and there's nothing they could do. I am trying to pitch work to a outdoors/clothing brand but don't want to rush into pitching the film. I want them to approach me, the film will be groundbreaking for fishing conservation. If I have to do it all alone it will be worth even more to me.

have you tried launching a campaign someplace like www.indiegogo.com?
dude is looking for money, not another site to browse on saturdays. Those sites are not set up to help content creators so much as promote themselves... so they can get sponsor cash. Self distribution revolves around initiative... the initiative to make the content (10 percent of the work) and the initiative to sell it (90 percent of the work).
just another way to get sponsors and money.
