SD Character Generator HELP

So I just started to work for a broadcasting company which houses products from some company/place called datavideo - never heard of this before.

 I have tried to set up the character generator with a Decklink SDI video card to produce lower thirds and such, but it doesn't seem to be working.

It could be that maybe it's not recognizing it, but I'm not too sure, and I definitely don't want to start on the wrong foot at my new job.

Can anyone give me a few pointer with this ? Troubleshoot?

I've looked online for support but, I haven't gotten any responses just yet.
