I've used Wordpress on all my sites for a good number of years (and didn't update versiosn for a while either lol) I love the ease of changing themes, and slowly I am figuring out how to customize the themes, little by little. Very SEO friendly as well since it gives you a nice, logical content management system which the search engines like to see.

In fact, I am in the processing of deciding on a new theme for one of my sites now, I think I've found the one I want to use but just need to click the mouse a few times to change the entire look of the site. Though I might need a bit of customization. The hardest part about Wordpress is finding the right theme, and that's only because there are so many of them out there!!!

Bill, that is a really nice looking theme and whatever tweaking you did works. I really like the smooth look and navigation. Between you and Heidi, I'm going to have to take a deeper look into WordPress. What did you think of Heidi's opening approach on the guest blog?

Also appreciate you coming on at the VST group here.
It was a good read and laid out the issues quite well.

Hey Bill,
Heidi is working up the screen grabs to go with article No. 2 in the WordPress for Videographers series at E.C. Come, E.C. Go - if you ever feel like chiming in there, or doing a guest article, you'd be welcome. Also, Heidi and I both would appreciate any comments.

I will be posting her second in the 4-part series on Monday, Aug. 30.
Thanks,
E.C.
Will do Earl.

Does wordpress allow widgets? In other words, on your wordpress can you have your regular videography website link on there or at least at the bottom of each posts? Seems like that would by dynamic as a link back.

text widgets, where you can put html, all kinds of plugins and widgets. I have a number of text box widgets at www.billmecca.com where I use the Cutline theme, same theme on www.losttownsvideo.com, and there are a few on www.meccavideopro.com though I just changed themes and haven't done much with it yet.
