Profile Information

What is your line of work?
Post Production/Editing
What part of the country/world do you service?
Generally Indiana, but I am open to world services via email.
Tell us about your company or services:
I am a self-employed video editor.
I usually do videos along the lines of "Memorial" videos, dedications, or others. I use my experience in Photoshop and After Effects to provide a unique quality "slideshow" video of photos, and could do video within video as well. Usually my videos are well suited to be repeated over and over during an event. I also design the DVD disc, case, and menus. I also do photo-editing and restoration.
What equipment do you use?
I have a custom built computer, I use Adobe Photohop to fix and edit photos, After Effects to compose each picture individually, and Premiere to put them all together with music background and transition, and then the final product is usually created via Nero 8 and burnt to a DVD, labels printed, and given back to the client as a final product.

A little about me.

I grew up on farm, but became more interested in computers when my family purchased one. I became interested in technology in general. My brother started his own business of web design and video editing and handed this section of making memorial videos for the local funeral home off to me. I have begun to take an interest in Graphic Design, and wish to further my freelance career in Video Editing.

To contact me about a memorial video or other services,
Leave a post with your email or add me as a friend.^^
Usually I'm pretty cheap because I don't work for a living doing these kinds of services.

Cody W. Geisler replied to Dreams Creation Video Production's discussion What do you charge for the raw footage?
"Well, even though I personally haven't dealt with this, it depends. If you usually do editing and charge for that in your fee, then take half of it off the full fee. As for the price of wedding footage, you shouldn't be charging by the…"

Cody W. Geisler's Blog

Videoediting

So a while ago I came across something interesting,

If you do a lot of repetitive videos like me, then you might find yourself doing the same small motions over and over.

For example, in adobe premiere I find myself monotonously adding drop shadow, turning on position/scale/rotation transform points, and perhaps some other things too.

I made a much larger video than I usually do once, and now I use that as a template,

I store all my photos or footage in one folder, if… Continue
