Hi there!
DSLR's sre really starting to be used a lot for HD video now for obvious reasons- depth of field etc.
There is just one aspect of difficulty which can be easily addressed. Awkward to hold!

Try the Sony HDRXR500. Its a really cool little camera and it even has a gps.
Another gizmo I recommend is the Steady Vision camera support www.steadyvision.info it has changed the way I do my filming!
