DSLR's sre really starting to be used a lot for HD video now for obvious reasons- depth of field etc.
There is just one aspect of difficulty which can be easily addressed. Awkward to hold!

"Thanks, this clip was only to see how it might work, so I never got as far as adding sound. I was quite pleased with the look of the cells dividing, the thing that I wish I had got was a better look of looking down a microscope."
