Lower Thirds can be terrible, or they can be great.
From an animator's view point, L3s on talking heads are usually boring, but an editor or director may want it "flat" so that the viewer isn't distracted from what's going on in the edit event.
I wonder what DV Pros' opinions on Lower Thirds are.

I think lower thirds it's like music, too much it's too much.
Some time it's need to be more discrete.People read what you put on the screen any way.
It's very strong at TV because it's hypnotize the viewer.
