Yet another clip from an educational program I made at work! In this one, a soldier has to decide whether to save himself or risk his life to try and help his mate. I had a lot of fun working on this, what boy wouldn't want a crack at making a mini war film!?

(It's a shame you can't add crew to the videos on here)

I'd really love to hear your comments and constructive criticism!

These are much more fun than our normal stuff, most of the programmes we make for that chanel are things like "How to host the perfect school governors meeting", or other, equally stimulating subjects! The budget for this worked out at about £800 ($1,280ish) a minute though, so not big budget, but okay. I'm the offline/online editor at a production company, I just put up the clips that I'd had an unusual amount of input in. I'd love to be able to do more myself, though. Camera work especially is something I'd love to get to grips with!

obviously more budget at your job than I have at mine... I am it...but I like it that way. wish I could get that creative and dramatic. Recently did one training video that was a dramatic portrayal, kind of a legal mystery format like you would see on A&E. Even played the host in a box myself. Have to get a piece of that to upload one of these days.

Yup, the aircraft were indeed put in afterwards, we really don't have the budgets to of got the real thing! I'd not had a problem with the levels before, but this could because I did the offline (as well as the grade and effects) and so know the script. I'll rap the dubbing mixers knuckles!

Fantastic stuff! One suggestion though, the audio levels, could not hear the actors, had to crank it way up, then went deaf with the sound effects... too wide a range of dynamics. did you insert the aircraft flying over in post?
